Mr. Coffee Cocomotion Hot Chocolate Maker

If you like hot chocolate you have to have this!
This thing makes the greatest hot chocolate and it is so fast and easy. Just add milk and syrup or powdered mix and push the button. They even have marks on the side of the mixing area so you don't need a measuring cup. The hot chocolate is smooth because it is mixed constantly. Even when my mom made it for me as a kid from scratch it never came out this smooth and well mixed. The included recipies are good and fun to try, but we usually go with the super easy milk & Hershey's recipe. My only complaint is that since the main part of the unit is all one peice and it has a cord, you can't submerge it, so cleanup isn't as easy as throwing it all in the sink or dishwasher. That's our only gripe and it's minor. My wife and I live in an area of the country where the winters are really cold and snowy. Cocomotion helps us get through the winter with a much better attitude. I'll be honest. This thing sits in our cupboard from May to September. But from October through April it sees almost...

Surprisingly useful
When I received this as a gift from my mother-in-law, my first thought was "Here's another thing that takes up a lot of room and doesn't do much. What are we going to do with that???". After all, we have a microwave to make the hot chocolate.

But I've been pleasantly surprised by this machine. We especially like Mexican Hot Chocolate--the circles of cinnamon flavored-chocolate you break up and stir in warm milk. Ordinarily, we heat the milk and chocolate in the microwave and then use an old fashioned egg beater to mix it up to a froth.

In the cocomotion, I just drop everything in and press the button. A few minutes later, great hot chocolate--just the right temp and mixed perfectly! And only one thing to clean!

My tip for cleaning--pour in some clean water and a little dish soap and turn it on for a minute or so. Then rinse clean.

We are pleased with this machine and using it more often than I ever expected to.

Use it everyday!! Love it! Great for cold winter mornings!
I asked for this and received it for Christmas. This is one of the only gadgets that we have used consistently everyday. I love to make it with the Godiva hot chocolate mix (I think you can only buy the mix in Godiva stores). It is so rich and creamy. You pour in the cold milk, add about three tablespoons of cocoa per cup. The machine hold four cups, and has markers for each cup. Then just turn it on, and in about 2-3 minutes the cocoa is stirred and heated perfectly. It will also reheat and remix the cocoa buy just turning on the "on" button. You cannot submerse it in water to clean it, but there are only three parts to clean. The lid, the little magnetic mixer paddle, and the carafe (which you don't need to submerse, just rinse it out with soapy water).

Since I have read that hot cocoa provides the same benefits as a glass of red wine, I don't feel too guilty about downing my two cups a day. It is a good way to get my calcium too. I wasn't expecting to love it...

Oster 4125 6-Piece Kitchen Center, Chrome

SHOULD BE 6 STARS! LOOK NO FURTHER.....
Please do not confuse this model with other Oster blenders sold here and elsewhere! They might look the same, but are not! This is THE model we all have seen in Bar's all over the world, for many years. And for good reason. THEY LAST! And it doesn't cost $100 +.

It has a 500 Watt motor, and the all metal drive, which inserts directly into the blade assembly, is nothing like that of other (more cheaply made) blenders by Oster or Kitchenaid/Cuisinart, etc.

This particular offering is a fantastic deal. You get the the original, all stainless-steel container, a real glass (not plastic!) container as well, another smaller container, with the food processor attachment, that's perfect for salad dressings/sauces/nuts, as well as a pair of blades!

In short, if you want the blender professional chef's and bartender's prefer and use, this is the one. It will out-last two or three of the cheaply made, albeit more expensive, posers.

Note: Item is discontinued
While I hate to have to enter a star rating to write the following, I felt I should apprise people of the fact this blender is no longer made. After going to the Oster website and not finding this particular blender, I e-mailed Oster and received this information:

"Thank you for contacting Oster, a brand of Jarden Consumer Solutions.
The 4125 Beehive Kitchen Center you are inquiring about is obsolete or discontinued. The parts and service for this product are no longer available. The Jarden Corporation has made the decision to sell separate kitchen appliances for marketing purposes. We no longer manufacture ALL-IN-ONE appliances."

The 4125 has received good reviews and sounds like a quality product, so it's a little perplexing why they discontinued the item (they know their sales figures, however). I have seen reviews which stated the 4125 is manufactured for the overseas market, which is incorrect. It's been completely discontinued, so make your...

Very impressed!
I spent several weeks researching blenders. Even the top rated Braun has reviews that aren't that great when it comes to crushing ice, which is what I was looking for. This thing completely pulverizes ice to a smooth, soft, slushie consistency. I was looking to recreate a certain frozen drink that I get at a restaurant, and the one we made with the Oster was even better than the restaurant's! And they use one of those expensive frozen drink machines! It's loud, but it works like a breeze. The only thing I noticed is that it's so powerful, you need to put a towel over the lid because it will splatter out a little through the middle cap. A small price to pay for the power this Oster has! All the extras it comes with are a great bonus too!

Edited to add that 6 years later the blender works as well as day 1! I read through the reviews and see that some customers received blenders with the instructions in Spanish. My blender set came with the regular English language...
