Best Non Stick Roasting Pan I've Used
I bought this pan as a non-stick alternative to a Calphalon hard anodized pan. I wanted a non stick pan for easy cleanup when I did not require the traditional dark deglaze associated with a hard anodized pan (better than the clearer non stick deglaze IMHO).
I am completely satisfied with this pan. It is a great looking pan which I expect will be very durable. The entire non stick stainless line is very easy to clean and this pan is no exception. The steam vent on the top is a clever feature. The pan is oblong shaped and will fit into many sinks as a result. In a nutshell I'd say this is a brilliant design compared to my Calphalon roasting pans (which are fine pans as well).
If I could obtain hard anodized versions of this pan I consider buying them to replace my Calphalon roasting pans.
I am strongly considering buying the larger version of this Cuisinart Nonstick Stainless-Steel roasting pan (Cuisinart makes a larger size too) so I can use it for those rare occasions...
A great roaster with poor advertising!
First I would like to say that this roaster is very high quality. After receiving this as a wedding present, we immediately used it on a roast beef dinner and it performed well. The handles are comfortable, the fit and finish of the pan is very high quality, and the design and features are all excellent. Using the roasting rack provided resulted in a lot of beef juices left in the bottom of the pan. With a bit of stovetop thickening (which the brochure said was possible with this pan), the juices made a wonderful gravy. The non-stick qualities of the bottom were excellent. I hand washed the pan in about a minute with NO stuck-on food in the bottom!
My only complaint with this pan is in how it is marketed. Cuisinart makes both a "Large" and an "Extra-Large" roasting pan. Since the "Large" pan is supposed to be able to handle an 18 pound turkey, I chose this one. Now that I have it, I kind of wish that I had gone with the bigger...
" I am here to Say-HOW DID I BAKE BEFORE?
If it is possible to "love" a pan-This is the one! After using an old enamel pan (for 30 years-it finally rusted through) I saw this stainless beauty & bought it. How was it possible to cook before? This pan bakes "everything" evenly. I have used it to bake severeal loaves of bread at once, chicken, fish, meat, beans, etc. Whatever I put into this pan, comes out of the oven done to perfection. This pan cleans up easily and is very sturdy; I always hand wash my best pans and knifes-I do not know how well it will do in a dishwasher. Sincerely, Gail Benjamin
